Nearly all artworks by Ruby use second hand materials, gifted to her by family members, or found in charity shops. She often keeps scraps from projects to use and keep her work sustainable.

Due to the handmade nature of her pieces, no two pieces of Ruby’s work is the same.

Labour is a recurring theme of Ruby’s work. She focuses on craft work, which is typically hand work, sometimes using a sewing machine. Her artwork celebrates the work and commitment that goes into a craft.
