What’s a ‘Fenny Thing’?

Welcome to Fenny Thing!

When I went to uni I left the Heart of the Fens; when I graduated I came home with a new found love of the Fens.

Like most of us here, I used to think the Fens were a sad, boring, and uneventful place – honestly I wanted to do anything I could to move away! But instead I’ve moved further into the Fens.

Driving around for work made me notice the incredible place names of our area, and this sparked the idea for Fenny Thing: an exploration of the Fenny names, stories and history around these weird and wonderful marshes.
