‘Her’ was Ruby’s introduction to plaster casting, which has become a core element of her creative practice.

‘Her’ was created as a personal challenge, to use the therapeutic benefits of art making, to overcome body negativity and to physically create an ‘out-of-body’ experience for the artist and viewers.

‘Her’ aims to show distorted body parts to highlight their beauty, and display them as pieces of art similar to iconic broken down marble statues, which are universally accepted as beautiful.
