Ruby continues to create a collection of ‘Minis’, these are all small scale works she uses to play with material, methods and ideas.

The ‘Minis’ are unique, often utilising Ruby’s ever growing collection of scrap fabric. The pieces are a variety of hand and machine sewn patchwork, often with hand sewn embellishment. These artworks push Ruby to break from the typical structures she uses within her work, and allows her the space to make mistakes and to realise ideas.

When creating the minis Ruby is often drawn to using traditional patterns and geometric shapes, and incorporating collage techniques.
