In 2024, I had the chance to work with the Norfolk Royal Regimental Museum to research and work with their collection.

I chose to focus on the embroidered works, textiles, and the make-do-and-mend attitude of the Wars; my response to this research and the collections is the quilt ‘Scrappy’.
’Scrappy’ was made exclusively using second-hand fabrics, and taking inspiration from quilting designs of the 1920’s. The quilt is a testament to the power of upcycling, and using materials that would usually be thrown away to create art.
