Ruby began working with Blackfield Creatives as the Wisbech Gallery Manager in 2024, since starting she has taken on a number of roles within the organisation, including the social media management, marketing and design, exhibition curation, and artist liasion.

The Gallery has become a huge passion project for Ruby, due to the connections to her home town, and her interest in making the arts more accessible in the Fens. Ruby hopes to make the Gallery an open space for artists, and art enjoyers to come together and experience great art.

So far Ruby has worked on a number of shows at the Gallery, assisting with the curation and install of shows - this has become her favourite part of working with the Gallery, getting to be a part of the process of physically being with the works and installing the pieces in the space has given her a new way of seeing art.
She has also taken on the design work (posters, catalogues, promotional materials, ect.) due to her background in graphics, she takes pride in creating imagery and work that reflects the effort and passion that the Blackfield Creatives team puts into their work with the Gallery and wider community.
